I'm a Technology Consultant at a Western Michigan University.
We have hundreds of technology enhanced classrooms, auditoriums and lecture halls.
I love working with faculty and staff to maximize the use of technology in the classroom
improving teaching effectiveness and easing instruction.

I manage the Classroom Technology Help Desk, including data, system hardware and 17 personnel.
The CTHD consists of two command and control stations that monitor, control and communicate with the classrooms.

A VOIP intercom and dispatch system facilitate quick instructor support.

I'm the Classroom Technology Representative for 39 rooms in Schneider, Rood, Welborn and technology liaison for hundreds of instructors and TA's.
I create and maintain the CTHD's web base data system and hardware.
I collect and compile extensive data for a classroom technology statistics spreadsheet.

The classrooms call my Unviversity Supplied Droid X and ASUS netbook whenever help is needed :-)

I'm currently testing an Asus EeePad, and an iPad2 for digital connection to our classrooms.
I'm also investigating wireless video transmission systems.
